Weaving Clay

We will extrude clay for weaving trivets and baskets on the first day. Day two we will be weaving the trivets and baskets.
What to Bring:
- At least 1/2 of a 25 pound bag of clay. May be any club-provided clay..
- A mold for ‘slump’ or ‘hump’, no larger than 8″.
- Scoring tool.
Optional: Bring a plastic container for storing extruded clay. Containers should be at least shoebox size.
Instructor
Diane Merrall
Diane has been involved in clay for the past 10 years. Her training includes instruction in throwing and hand-building. Her work represents instruction from a variety of instructors to include functional forms, as well as pit fire, Sagar, Raku and alternative Raku firing applications of Horse Hair and Naked Raku. Most recently, she taught pottery at a summer camp for boys.
