Stroke & Coat Glaze Class

Stroke & Coats is the next step in glazing. In this class you will learn what these glazes are, and how they can be used as stand alone glazes or combined with our club dip glazes.
- Two 5” leather hard test tiles and a little bit of scrap clay —a white or speckled buff clay
- One 5” bisque ware test tile, a white or speckled buff clay
- Slip to match your clay
- One or two small plates, cups or bowls either leather hard or bisque ware, a white or speckled buff clay
- A pencil
- Small brushes
- A sgraffitto/incising tool.
Instructor
Michele Judge
Michele is an artist, retired school counselor and art teacher. On the first day of class her students always asked, “When are we doing clay?” And, of course, upon moving to SCW her first question was, “When can I join the clay club?!”
She is a former education co-chair, a former Beginning Hand Building teacher, and teaches a variety of other classes throughout the year.
