Butter Dish

Students will learn to make an overlapping seam that can be used in many hand building situations. They will receive a butter dish pattern that can be adapted to several shapes and tools to help form the butter dish lid. Students will create their own design using stamps and rolling texture tools. They will glaze after class as they choose.
Students need to bring: 2 rolled out slabs 3/8” thick, 14” x 12” or the equivalent. NOT LEATHER HARD. Recommended clay: Speckled Buff or B-Mix.
Tools: Bring hand building tools such as sponges, rubber rib, wooden stick clay smoothers, needle tool, textures, and a small cutting knife.
