Vessels and Lids: Oct. 2026

In the first class you will be throwing a vessel of your choice. Learn how to measure and form the gallery for a lid. You will throw an appropriate size lid to rest on the gallery.
The second class you will trim a foot on your vessel, trim to shape your lid and learn how to throw a handle to attach to the lid.
NOTE: Students should be able to throw a cylinder/vessel on the wheel without instruction. This is NOT a “Beginner” class.
Supplies Needed:
Clay – BMix, your own throwing tools, calipers if you have them.

I have had a passion for wheel throwing for 40 years. After taking night classes every semester at UW/Casper college for several years, we added a studio onto our home. I joined the Clay Club in 2010 and have taught both hand building and wheel classes.
