Peony Flower: Oct

In this 3 hour class you will learn to cut and form a 3-4 layer peony flower, utilizing the templates provided in class. You will need to purchase the following prior to the class: gumpaste flower silicone veining mold from Amazon. Type: FCKEMLDS molds into Amazon search and order Style B in the options section.
You will need B-Mix clay for this project. The “stem” for this project will be provided. Bring leaf mold if you want to add leaves to the stem. You will not attach stem until after high fire.
You may want to purchase the wedge type makeup sponges to assist in petal positioning and wicking of moisture from the center of the flower.
Bring a sgraffito tool is you have it. (We sell them in the club.) Otherwise we can improvise with a tool you probably already have.

I have been a member of the clay club since 2017. I love the wheel and have found great satisfaction in hand building. I am currently the chair as well as an instructor for Beginning Hand Building. My professional background was an Emergency Room RN and I retired after 36 years. I found crafting as a therapeutic outlet from an otherwise stressful life and now LOVE our club and community.
