New to the club? Never used Stroke & Coat glazes before? Come find out what these glazes are and the various ways you can use these versatile glazes. There will be demos of how to transfer images to clay surfaces, and all the different ways you can uses these glazes as stand alone glazes or as decoration with our club dipped glaze. There will be time to practice techniques on “test tiles” and a bisque ware bowl, cup….
Supplies:
- Basic tools
- 3 leatherhard tiles around 4-5″ square: bmix or speckled buff
- 3 bisque ware tiles around 4-5″ square: bmix or speckled buff
- A bisque ware piece: a plate, bowl, cup…. if you have one.
Instructor
Michele is an artist, retired school counselor and art teacher. On the first day of class her students always asked, “When are we doing clay?” And, of course, upon moving to SCW her first question was, “When can I join the clay club?!”
She is a former education co-chair, a former Beginning Hand Building teacher, and teaches a variety of other classes throughout the year.
